Originally established as an artist run space in 1984 the Collective has developed into an independent, publicly funded exhibition, commissioning and development agency. We aim to support emergent Scottish contemporary art and artists within the context of an international programme.
The Collective is committed to engaging with new audiences and creating access to the contemporary visual arts through a range of innovative projects/structures.
As well as developing an ongoing exhibition programme in our two galleries and project room we are increasingly interested in inviting artists to design specific projects operating within the framework of the city’s contemporary social; economic; political and physical spheres.
