The CAVE
was founded in 1996 as a gallery. It is now one of the longest running experimental art spaces in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, NY.
Currently the CAVE has two departments, the CAVE Gallery and the CAVE AcTS.

We seek artists and audiences who approach transformation as an aesthetic.
Our constant goal is to maintain an environment that attracts, provokes and supports generative exploration.
We provide a simple space. A community of artists nakedly offering their processes, exchanging, confronting and collaborating has developed. We encourage this. Frequent gatherings offer opportunities for informal dialogue.
Collaborative multimedia work is often presented.
Studios of resident artists are open. Educational workshops pertaining to various mediums are periodically offered.

We work towards continued learning and expansion.
