| VA Nishiogi Gallery [Tokyo]_(5m
X 5m X2.4m) In the gallery, a new room is built. The walls,a ceilling,a floor and pillars are painted by special paint for making uneven surface. Plus they are painted red fluorescent paint roughly. 7 minutes, Blacklights are turning on without normal lights. Everything unstably shines like red fog. And next 3 minutes, All lights are turned off, and sound sensors begin to work. There are 10 sound sensors under the floor. Visitors footsteps are triggers for the sounds. When visitors walk around, they are able to hear different sounds at different positions. This Installation has 5 pillars. The pillars have luminous painted wire around their top and bottom. While the darkness time, visitors can see only shining rings. Sounds and sensors are works of Christophe Charles. |
